Internship?Singapore?EY? Whoa! Shocked to my shell! I am suppose to be jumping for joy and be estaticly happy for being able to land what was perceived to be difficult, at least *ahem* at student level. I know all those working peeps out there will be like, 'aiyah so what! intern only mah!' haha oh well it all always boils down to people's perception which is highly influenced at the level of life they are in. But i was euphoric for only a fleeting moment, then i realise, what about my forensic offer? Choices choices..and once again, i stand to suffer equal losses..Am i always going to have to go thru this? I am complaning yet I cannot be more grateful God chooses to bless me with such good oppurtunities! Ironies and woes of an immortal.

Darling does not seem to have a good impression of S. Seemingly the people there only care for their work and not abt human relations. The image they have always protrayed to the world - 'kiasu'..now there's even 'kiasi' ..haha..but its not funny when you are in it i suppose. Of course i was hoping darling was giving me an overestimate so that i wun actually be too dissapointed, but now looking at it, I think he was not. He shud have! darned! haha.. anyway..
I've had to the call the office for various reasons, and the twice i called only served to prove darling right! So i am scared.

The impression i got was that they don't have much time to attend to you nor do they care. When i was informing them that so and so document will be arriving when, they go 'hmm hmm', more like 'so why are u telling me this?'..yet at the end of the phone call, their 'bye' greeting was almost friendly..So i came to the conclusion that they are actually ok people, jz kiasu! hahaha..meaning they want to be nice but they hold back..their work comes first..the saddest thing, the malaysian friendliness that we all seem to have, is sooo lacking in them..not that its a bad things, see how one perceives it.

My apprehensiveness (rkboo, 2006) comes in because is it really going to be like that for the whole 2 months down there? Everyday i go to work, no smiles perhaps no hellos. Jz do your work, if you dunno, ask but they will only answer if they are 'not too bz' or if they feel like it. What am i going to learn out of it at all? Sigh. Best part, can't enjoy with ur workmates. Workmates are workmates and playmates are playmates. The world is so boring and catgorised. When will they learn to mix?

At the end of the day, I still decided to take up that offer. Mom was no no dad was yes yes. Haha. My reasons? International exposure, something and somewhere different. I however am anticipating a really bad time (maybe i shudnt be so narrow minded huh) and while people think that i might enjoy myself, have a good time and learn a lot, inside of me somehow can't find it to agree with them. I only hope that I would be wrong.
